Last weekend The European Championship 85cc was held at Lommel, Belgium. Ivano van Erp, VROOAM Talent Pool and Yamaha Europe rider won the second race. At an early stage Ivano already managed to take the lead in both motos, which gave him a head start.
As Ivano demonstrated in the training and qualifying sessions he felt at home on this tough sand circuit. He was the fastest in the training and in the qualifying heat he went on his 2Fast Motorsport prepared Yamaha at a fast pace around the track, so secured himself of the pole position.
On the Saturday there where some adjustments on the VMT Suspension which ensure that everything was in perfect order to score optimally on Sunday. Because of a good start in the first moto, Ivano was able to start the race at second place. After the start of the race Ivano immediately took the lead and knew to keep it, as a result he took the victory in the second part of the race. This was the very first heat victory of Ivano in his EMX85 career.
At the second race Ivano started at the fourth place. Instantly after the start Ivano went into the lead. From there on he was unchallenged and as well won his second manche.
With the victory’s trophy in hand Ivano looks at a successful weekend. For updates of Ivano van Erp races, please check out our website or social platforms. Next race will be at the Open Dutch Championship at Lelystad, The Netherlands.
