We are always very pleased when we receive a race update form one of our sponsorship riders. This time we received an update of VROOAM’s sponsor rider Sam Korneliussen. As excited as we are? Read Sam’s full update down below.
Sam Korneliussen –
1 ROUND – DANISH CHAMPIONSHIP – RANDERS.
It was a race I have looked forward to as it was a new class, I would race in the MX1 class. During the qualifying I had a small issue with my brake on my race bike, therefore I had to change it for my practice bike. I was able to race the 7th best time, which gave a good gate pick.
In the 1 moto I ended up being stuck behind a crash and had to come al the way from behind. I made some really good laps and was pushing. Doing lap times as the leader for the last few laps I ended the moto in 7th place.
A better start at the 2 Moto had me closer to the leaders, I ended on 5th place.
Throughout this race I was Overall 6th and 6th in the championship.
1 ROUND – ADAC MX MASTERS – FÜRSTLICH DREHNA.
A very strong field of riders had showed up for the first round. On Saturday (day one) I was riding well, unfortunately I was not able to make a lap time, which got me direct into the moto on Sunday. Yet in the last chance race I charged my way up to 12, securing a reserve spot for the Sundays racing.
On day two (Sundays) I felt really good during the warm-up and raced some good lap times. Unfortunately, I did not get a space at the gate. But in heat 2 I was able to race to a 28th place which gave 31 on the day.
